THE GHOUL I LOVE

Leicester Square Theatre (rehearsed reading), Oct 2012

Hollywood, 1933: a town between two world wars, at the height of the Depression and in the throes of an obsession with horror movies like Frankenstein and Dracula.

A young film director, Jonathan Valentine, tries to make a truly terrifying film in an already terrifying world. But vying with tight budgets, moody stars and his own memories of serving in the trenches of World War I, are the ghosts on screen becoming too real?

The Ghoul I Love is a theatrical love song to cinema, and a brand new, old fashioned ghost story.

COFFIN

Kings Head Theatre, 2010

In a dingy East London flat – a place that has been forgotten by everyone except those that live in it – four squatters spend their days in petty crime, Pot Noodle and Countdown. But their world is turned upside down when ex-squaddie Connor saves Annie from a brutal attack and moves in with them. Soon they’re having to cope with angry dealers, getting a fix and the hottest summer on record – while Connor has his struggle with his own demons…

An urban horror with bite.

Coffin was Tristan’s first full length play, and was performed at the Kings Head Theatre in 2010 as the inaugural show in their Without Décor programme.
