THE GHOUL I LOVE
Leicester Square Theatre (rehearsed reading), Oct 2012
Hollywood, 1933: a town between two world wars, at the height of the Depression and in the throes of an obsession with horror movies like Frankenstein and Dracula.
A young film director, Jonathan Valentine, tries to make a truly terrifying film in an already terrifying world. But vying with tight budgets, moody stars and his own memories of serving in the trenches of World War I, are the ghosts on screen becoming too real?
The Ghoul I Love is a theatrical love song to cinema, and a brand new, old fashioned ghost story.

Soon they’re having to cope with angry dealers, getting a fix and the hottest summer on record – while Connor has his struggle with his own demons…
